What's Included In A Website Maintenance Plan?

Having a website is more than the original design and content building - there's also the important task of keeping it up-to-date and secure. Once completed, you can either choose to maintain the site yourself or opt for a maintenance plan.

My maintenance plans are fairly comprehensive- they cover the monthly cost of website hosting, the cost of select premium software and subscriptions, daily plugin updates, and general changes or support up to 1 hour per month. Here's what's included:

Website Hosting

I use Google Cloud-powered hosting for my own site as well as client sites that I host. It is made to support up to 10,000 monthly visitors and 2GB of storage per site. A CDN is included to keep sites moving quickly and an SSL is included for security- both are integrated seamlessly and at no extra cost.

Privacy Policy

Privacy Policies are important for any business that collects personal data from customers, clients, or employees. A Privacy Policy is a document that outlines what personal data is collected, why it's collected, how it's used, and how it's protected. Having a Privacy Policy in place helps to build trust with customers and ensures that businesses are complying with data protection laws. Termageddon is an auto-updating Privacy Policy generator that helps businesses create and manage their Privacy Policies. I include it in my maintenance plans to make sure that my clients have the tools they need to make their sites successful.

Premium Software

Premium software included in the maintenance plan includes use and updates for the following: custom forms, payment processing, dynamic content displays, dynamic business review displays, page caching, and other select software.

Daily Plugin Updates

Not only do outdated plugins pose a security risk, they can also cause your site to break or malfunction. That's why daily plugin updates are included as part of the website maintenance plan to keep things up to date and running smoothly.

Priority Service

Last but not least, clients with a maintenance plan also receive priority service which means that changes and support will always take place as quickly as possible.
