1. What kind of website platforms do you use?
WordPress is my platform of choice because it is versatile, powerful, and user-friendly. I've been building sites on WordPress for over 10 years, and it is my go-to platform for most projects. I'm also experienced in building with Shopify, Squarespace, and others, and can offer design services on those platforms as well. There are a few other platforms that I don't recommend because they have poor quality or compatibility issues. If you're not sure which platform is right for your project, I'd be happy to chat with you about your options.
2. How much does a new website cost?
The cost of web design depends on many factors, such as the size and complexity of the website, the number of pages, if page copy needs to be written, and the amount of custom graphics or features required.
3. Will my new website be mobile-friendly?
Yes! In today's world, it's more important than ever to have a site that looks great on all devices, from desktop computers to laptops to smartphones. I understand this, and that's why all the sites I build are mobile-friendly and responsive. This means that no matter what device your visitors are using, they'll be able to see your site clearly and will be able to navigate easily.
4. How can I maintain my site after it’s created?
Tips on how to maintain your site are available for logged-in users right here on the portal! Don't want to maintain your site yourself? Contact us about maintenance plans!
5. What do I need to get started?
Before you launch your website, there are a few important things you'll need to take care of. First, you'll need to develop a marketing plan. This will help you determine your target audience and how you'll reach them. Next, you'll need to choose a domain name and find a web host. Once you've taken care of the technical aspects, you can start working on the design and content of your site. You can read more about what it takes to begin your website by reading our getting started guide.
6. Is my website warrantied?
Yes! Websites that I build are under a one-year-from-completion warranty. Likewise, work that I perform on an existing site is also covered under a one-year-from-completion warranty.
7. What is covered under warranty?
Official language: Any problems that are discovered with software or programs installed by the agency (Kelly C Creative Services) will be covered under warranty for a period of one year from the project completion date. Errors will be fixed within three weeks of the report date without additional charge. Warranty includes core functionality only and excludes any additional change requests or work performed by third parties (anyone outside of the Agency or Agency-hired Subcontractors).
In a nutshell: I don't expect problems to occur, but if they do, you're covered on work I've done for a year after your project has been completed. Change requests after finalization, site maintenance, and problems or conflicts from changes that were not made by my company are not considered warranty and are billable services.
